Fall Day Fun Show-2008
Welcome to our ALL FUN show ! Saturday, October 18, 2008, at the Marshall Co. Fairgrounds. HWY 7 N of Holly Springs.
This is a youth show. You must be 18 or under to play. There are three classes with an exception to this rule. Read the class descriptions to find out.
Classes are $3 per entry unless otherwise stated in the class description. $20 for all day.

Neg. Coggins test must be shown at check in !
Classes and Descriptions
1. Keyhole Race Traditional keyhole race. Follow the pattern down, turn around, and head back. Don't cross that white line ! 2. Fox & Hound Barrels Standard barrel pattern. The Fox runs first and her time is announced. The winner is the time closest to matching the Fox.
3. Corn Cob Race Cross the arena and pick up a corn cob off the top of the barrel. Back across the arena. Drop your corn cob into the bucket and cross the timer. If your cob doesn't get into the bucket you get no time.
4. Catalog Race Cross the arena to the catalog on top of the barrel. dismount and rip out the page the announcer has told you. Close the catalog. give the page to the judge holding your horse. Mount back up and cross the timer. Wrong page or don't close the catalog, NO time.
5. Flag Race Sorry, no actual flags here. Just get around the barrel at the other end of the arena and back as fast as you can.
6. Rescue Race Two persons. The person rescued may be over 18 !! Cross the arena and rescue your friend. Ride double back across the timer.
7. Pony Express Run Snag the first mail bag before you cross the timer. You must trade the mail bag at each designated point. complete your run for time. Miss a mail drop or don't finish with the right mail bag, No time.
8. Musical Sacks You start dismounted and standing on a feed sack. When the music starts, mount up and ride around the circle, counter clockwise. One way, no backing up ! One or more sacks will be removed. When the music stops, dismount and stand on a feed sack. One sack, one person. No sack, Your out ! Plenty of adults to help with mounting.
9. Goat Tying Com on now ! Ya'll know what Goat Tying is ! Fee for this class will depend on what we have to pay to use the goats.
10. Equistar Trail Class This class is by pre-registration only. $5 per entry ( everyone gets a ribbon) Entry open to persons of any age with a disability or enrolled in a therapy riding program. 11. In Hand Trail Does your horse have good ground manners? Are you sure? Standard trail class obstacles, but you must lead your horse through them.
12. Backwards Boogie Same obstacles, same pattern, BUT, all obstacles must be done backwards. (ex. forwards to the gate, open the gate, BACK your horse through, close the gate, forwards to the bridge, BACK over the bridge, forwards to the next obstacle, ect...)
13. Ride a Buck - Bare Back Hold on to your Dollar/Buck (we are using large index cards) with your knees. Don't let it fall ! Walk / Trot class. Canter or other at judges discretion to obtain a winner.
14. Stick Horse Halter Have the best dressed Stick Horse in town? Do you and your Stick Horse have matching outfits? This is the class for you.
15. Ride a Buck - Saddled Same as Ride a Buck Bare Back, only with a saddle.
16. Ride Tied Pairs class. One rider may be over 18 ! Two riders, one crepe paper streamer. Be the last pair to break your streamer.
17. Egg & Spoon Traditional egg and spoon class. Walk / Trot class. Canter or other at judges discretion if needed to obtain a winner.
18. Bomb Proof Prove It Have a Bomb Proof horse?? In hand or ride. Pass between two bunches of mylar balloons. Roll a 5ft cage ball across the arena. Get passed the opening and twirling umbrellas. Is that really a dog barking in that barrel? What about the horse eating Wal-mart bag on the mail box? If you pre-register for this class, you get a copy of the pattern so you can practice.
19. Stick Horse Race On your mark, Get Set, GO ! To the end of the arena and back.
20. Costume Class Is your white mare a zebra at heart? Do you and your horse have matching PJ's?Another chance to wear that parade costume you worked so hard on? How about a pony named Jelly dressed as a PB&J sandwich? Your only limit is your own imagination and if you really can train your horse to wear that grass skirt and coconut bra with the giant sunglasses !
